Walker was born the 26th of June, 1976, in Philadelphia Pennsylvania United States of America. She is a native American born with African American roots. She's her mother's daughter. Harvey Welker (a Native American father) and Julie Welker (an African-American mom). She is the daughter of both a Native American father as well as an African-American mother. Walker attended school through Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia's Germantown region, where she was able to graduate in 1994. After that, in 1998, she graduated at Harvard College with a Bachelor's degree. Welker is engaged to John Hughes a well-known marketing director at Merck at Philadelphia and has two kids. They began an relationship in the year 2014. John, John's husband is a year older than him. They were enjoying their relationship which is why they chose to stay in touch. On March 4th 2017 the pair married. Philadelphia Pennsylvania hosted their wedding. The venue was the Hyatt The Hyatt, they had an extravagant wedding.
