Kari Samantha (born April 28th, 1967) Wuhrer is a famous American actress and performer. She began her professional career as a teenager and is best famous for her character of Maggie Beckett in the television series Sliders and as Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), a payroll accountant, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, a police officer and auto salesman. Her family has given her three brothers. As a teenager, she sang in nightclubs and would sneak out of the house to sing. Following her studies in acting at the Wooster School from the age of 13, she pursued a degree in drama at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Then, she took classes in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under renowned Uta Hagen. She was an Brookfield native born in Brookfield Connecticut on the 28th day of April, 1967. Her mother works as a payroll accountant, and her father, German-American, is a policeman and car salesperson. Kari's siblings are three. Kari was a nightclub singer when she was just a teenager. Her habit was to sneak away from her home to perform. Kari began studying acting when she was just 13 years old. She then studied drama at Tisch School of the Arts in New York University and Columbia University. Marymount Manhattan College and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and along with Uta Hagen, who is a well-known instructor. Kari stepped into acting as aged a teenager. Her first television break was in 1987 on MTV's Remote Control.
